Spicy Marinade Recipe

We love this recipe because it is really quick and easy, but also very versatile. The spices interact differently with various veggies, so while it will give char-grilled aubergine a rich flavour with a subtle bite, it is likely to give your BBQ Corn a more noticeable kick! So let's get to it:

Ingredients:

  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 Teaspoons Devil's Advocate Chilli Sauce (Use Witch's Revenge Chilli Sauce instead for a milder marinade!)
  • 1 Teaspoon Soy Sauce or Tamari
  • 2 Tablespoons Tomato Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Syrup or Agave
  • 1 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 Teaspoon Onion Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon Mustard Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Sweet Basil (dried)
  • 1 Teaspoon "Mixed" or "Italian Herbs" (dried)
  • Half a cup water

Mix all the ingredients together. And voila – your spicy vegan marinade is ready!
